Webber’s Lodges – Dymond Lake

About Webber’s Lodges
Comfort level at the caribou camps we are second to none. Our two caribou camps are solid structures (not tent frames) with running water, showers, flush toilets, and propane heat. These camps are staffed with a camp manager, head chef, and professional guides. The camp manager will run the day to day operations of the camp, issue fishing, game bird, and black bear licences along with guiding some of the guests. The head chef will prepare all the food for the duration of your hunt and insure that your waist line does not decrease too much. Our guides are some of the best in the business and have an uncanny ability to find trophy bulls for you. They will get you in close to that trophy of a life time and after harvest they will take care of all the photos, meat and trophy preparation to insure your memories for life.

Hunting in the Canadian North
First and foremost you will need to realize that you are hunting in the True North and weather conditions can be quit adverse. Our temperatures at the caribou camps average between 80F (27C) to 5F (-15 C) with the possibility of Clear sun shining day to wind and snow. Along with the changing weather conditions you will experience some of the most breath taking sub-arctic scenery anywhere in the world.

You will most likely get the chance to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) every evening along with the possibility of seeing a polar bear. Our Caribou camps are 60 miles from the coast of the Hudson Bay and on the rare occasion Polar Bears have been spotted roaming the tundra just outside of the camps. Over head the skies will be filled with enormous flocks of Sand Hill Cranes, Snow and Ross geese. Artic foxes are also prevalent and may follow you during the days hunt as a curious spectator.

Following the seemingly endless herds of migrating caribou will be arctic wolves and wolverines. Both wolves and wolverines have been spotted on several occasions and if you are lucky you get the chance to harvest an artic wolf.

Our caribou camps are only one facet of the vast wilderness opportunities we offer at Webbers Lodges. I am confident that once you become a guest and friend of ours you will be back to experience another adventure with us.
